10 Golden Rules for Living A Happy Life

“…You never really start living until you completely stop worrying.”

BY CEOFLAVIAN

Life must be really tough for almost everyone, but that depends on how we make it. More specifically, life depends on what we wan to get out of it.

And what we get out of it largely depends on how we think.

Here are 10 Golden Rules for living a happy life.

1. Don’t Worry About What You Can’t Control

We spend most of our lives worrying about things beyond our control, feeling powerless to experience an extraordinary, happy life. Many of your fears seldom come to pass. It is the uncertainty of an unexpected future which causes pain and disillusionment. Let go of worry and develop trust because life is self-serving and knows exactly what it’s doing for your greater good.

"Believe in God", the Bible declares, "and He will fulfill he desires of your heart."
Often it may seem that a situation is not playing out as we expect. Don’t be quick to judge or blame what is taking place until the entire picture is formed. I suggest you consider your problems in the context of what do I worry about? versus what should I worry about? In most cases, we catastrophize circumstances that will fix themselves if we allow ourselves to step back from the drama.

18 Practical Tips for Living the Golden Rule

“…thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”, Leviticus 19:18

BY LEO BABAUTA

One of the few rules I try to live my life by, and fail every day trying, is the Golden Rule.
I love the simplicity of the Golden Rule, its tendency to make I interact with happier … and its tendency to make me happier as well.

It’s true: the rule of treating others as you would want to be treated in their place will ultimately lead to your own happiness.
